Landing nets
Does anyone have any experience with the Nash Hooligun landing net, my old generic one is getting a little bit tired with a few tears here and there and ive only got around £50 to spend but this looks like quite a good buy, any bad experience with them?

Re: Landing nets
Im currently using a Nash one the name of which escapes me for the moment but if the hooligun is anything like the one i have then i'd avoid it, it started tearing along the seams within about 4 weeks, i did consider taking it back for replacement but never got round to it, for a budget one I had a look at some Ron Thompson stuff the other day, not sure what one exactly but the net actually looked pretty sturdy and very well made.

Re: Landing nets
Tom take it back, kev would be horrified, that something that bore his name is not up to standard.

Re: Landing nets
To be honest I thought that it was a bit poor, but it was a display model so might have been slightly damaged in the shop before I got hold of it and to be honest i did find it unusual for nash stuff to be like that.
Kev lives in/near Rayleigh if im not mistaken? |

Re: Landing nets
Yeah Rayleigh area, his base units used to be on the brook road instrutial park, dont know if he is still there, if so id take it there, and see what they say
you prob av to take it back to the shop where u bought it though.

Re: Landing nets
ive just bought a 42" greys prodigy landing net and handle, its very light and looks that good im scared to use it....
one reason i did buy it was for the deep net as im booked to go france in may08 for carp n cats and wanted something suitable for both. |
