Re: Boilie Making

if you must use nuts there is tiger nut flour, and like wise there is maize flour for the pulse side of life. these are both 100% safe.

Re: Boilie Making

I'd definately recommend the way i started off when making my own baits, now this can go one of two ways. Firstly you need to decide wether you want an sweet bait or a savory bait.

This will govern which route you go down regarding ingredients. The best way to start is to get a base mix and have a look on the packet as most now come with some idea recipes.

TWO VITAL bits of kit you need are some old kitchen scales and a 25ml syringe which you can get from most chemists if you explain what its for as its the most ideal method of measuring out precise amounts of liquid additives.

Basic rule of thumb i use regarding mixes is, if its milk protein based stick with sweet flavours and sweeteners. For savory baits go with fishmeal based additives and oils.
Stick within the recommendations given on the ingredients as too much flavourings/additives can actually have an undesired effect and drive fish away from your bait.

Birdfood type mixes can work well in either type of bait so that may also be worth looking into.
