Sweat Corn

I have heard from nearly every angler that sweat corn is a really good bait. I see anglers catch big fish in minutes with it, but when i try i dont even get a nibble. Is there a speceal way to put it on the hook.

Re: Sweat Corn

well worth a try matey. just experiment around, colour and flavour your corn as well. just leave to soak over nigh in some red food colouring or somthing. works nice.

I havnt been doing too badly using the plastic fake corn either, used with some real stuff then that as a popup over it, actually works quite well

i always do well with sweetcorn on the hair rig with bout 2 pieces of fake corn so its just buoyant and waving about over your freebies, i tend to fish it with a stick mix

Re: Sweat Corn

It is not uncommon on pressurized carp water for the carp to be reluctant to tak fresh round boilies especially 15 or 18mm baits. To over come this problem you can either fish small baits 6, 8 or 10mm baits or simply wittle down a fresh 15mm boilie to make it look like another fish has taken chunks out of it. If you have time you could always try washing your boilies out to make them look like they have been on the lake bed for days. This is an old trick but is often overlooked. Hundreds of kilos of boiles get put into the lakes every day so it is not unusual for the carp once they have been banked a few times to wise up a little.
