Re: wot bait
Well, if the fish arnt used to seeing any bait, then pretty much any bait will do the job, if your using boilies then i'd suggest going with cheaper brands as you may well have to put a fair bit in for a while to establish them as a food source that the carp become accustomed to eating on a regular basis, this provokes a feeding reaction when the fish come into contact with the bait, meaning you'll be catching more.

Re: wot bait
For me it very much depends on what other fish are also present in the water, you dont have to go with boilies, supermarket baits would be fine, but you prob will pick up lots of what id term nuicance fish, that said catching other species is fun too, but if its carp you speciffically are aming for the other fish present may beome a exasperating factor.
If you dont have a lot of time, id opt for an attractor bait(boilie) where ever ive fished these have been recieved well by carp even those that have never seen a boilie. If you intend fishing it a lot and have a lot of others seeking the same fish, id opt for a good quality food based boilie, as Tom says you may need to introduce a fair bit of this on a little and often basis and it can be expensive, umless you mix the boilies in with a cheaper ground bait, i use a groundbait made from the boilie mix along with other cheapy goodys, but imo it will give you the edge for a long time over the other baits, also when it does eventually begin to slow, you can add a flavour and away you go again. This route can be expensive and time consuming, all 3 methods will work, so you make your choice , good luck. |

lol scotty. thats £1.20 off per kilo. that just brings it in line price wise mate with the top quality baits like t1, the enzyme by dean at u.c.n and so on. not having a dig mate, but your going head to head with these very good baits that already have a proven track record in the carp world. just feel there a little pricey, there are bait deals flying around forum land everywhere. |

Re: wot bait
maybe but please dnt judge th baits until u have used them and u can still get our other ranges for as little as 8.99 a kilo. have used the T1 at th same venues as ours when we was testing and lthough the t1's are a good bait ours had a bigger catch rate. The value of these baits are the freshly rolled and texture you get with them, which is more superior than any ready made bait as well as them being 100% natural.
