re: Bite alarms

went fishing this weekend and used my new alarms. Im very impressed with them . I would highly recommend them. They got drench in rain that lasted a good solid 9 hours with out a problem. very sensetive and loud aswell. All in all a very good alarm for the money. Ohh forgot to say i blanked again, still havnt had a carp on the bank this year.

re: Bite alarms

just a bit of an update on these alarms. Im still very impressed with these even though ive not had the pleasure of using elkins or nevils these arlarms have not let me down whats so ever. battrys still going strong they have now surpassed 10 days worth of use 4 36hr sessions. wireless receiver works brilliant. worth every penny. Would highly recommend to any body.

Ron thomsons £120 with wireless receiver had mine 2 1/2 years no probs at all and for £30 you can get a 4th alarm which will tune to receiver.

re: Bite alarms

Delkim EV's for me, I wont say they are 100% problem free as one of mine tends to warble sometimes in heavy rain (think it gets in through batter cover) but for the money, and overall quality cant go far wrong

re: Bite alarms

marker, the chap has got a low buget secondhand delkems are still plenty of cash .and don,t always do what they say on the tin. my mate has had no luck with his . and i would NOT have esos r,s EVEN if you give me them. the more complicated the alarm the more trouble they are.

re: Bite alarms

Gf Alarms are good around 25 quid ea i think
recommended

i use delkin txi's cant beat them they have a special plastic arm inside instead of a roller witch gives u more sensitivity on bites and takes
where as rollers u have to wait like 3/4inch of a bite before it sounds

regards luke

re: Bite alarms

The Delkim EV's (which ive got) have exactly the same plastic arm as the TXi's, the only difference that i'm aware of is they dont have the wireless transmitter integrated, however, you can add a small delkim tramsitter device at a later date to them to make them compatible with the TXi receiver but its not quite as nice a setup as it would be using the TXi's due to having to have extra stuff.

I use mine with a wired remote sounder box
