Living in central France I am surrounded by lakes and rivers, most of which hold alot of big carp, however last year I discovered a complex of lakes just 10 minutes drive away holding large stocks of good carp. If you are looking for a runs water with a realistic chance of a 40 then this could be the place. This year I have managed just 3 daytime sessions and recorded 7 twenties and 1 thirty. Last year I banked my first 40 just weeks after my carping mate banked his first 40, definately 2 different fish. Fot the cost of 20€ per 24 hour session it has got to be a bargain, on top of that the owner speaks pretty good english, thank god for that!

The complex in question is situated just outside the village of Cenerailles, in the department of La Creuse, It is about a 7 hour drive from Calais. The complex comprises of about 10 lakes varying in size of 1/2 acre to about 8 acres. The swims are well spaced out, the largest lake having just 3 swims, each one capable of taking 3 anglers. There are toilets and basic showers on site but nothing else, however, situated next to the village you will find shops, banks and bars etc. With a high average size you can realistically expect to catch twenties on a daily basis, with a very good chance of a thirty or even a forty. I do not have any financial interest in this complex however if anyone needs any further info, ping me a note.
