First off never give up, secondly take the gear that broke back to where you bought it(if it was new) if it wasnt maltreated then it shouldnt break and they should replace or repair the items.

Yeah had a 51lb cat out, hell of a scrap, as they do, thats my largest uk cat, but i still cant seem to get amongst the carp, i know im close, i can feel it, will be trying something a little different this week, just a subtle change, and we will see what happens

had my best ever day today, i caught 4 carp in total, 1 was my biggest ever fish me and me mates weighed it ,not massive for you lot but for me it was a giant 15lb. took me about 20 mins to land it, well happy.

havnt updated for a while, so here goes im catching pretty regularly now, which is a very good thing on my paticular water, no biggys as such yet(carp) but quite a few up to 28lb, i feel ive been very unlucky in terms of catching the big uns, but hey they cant evade me forever.Can they!!!.

Took my boy last week for 4 days and nights, hes a very bright lad, takes after his mother before anyone asks lol.
He set up his own rods totally this time(rigs etc), baited and positioned them, played and netted his own fish, and hauled big time, taking 7 fish to 16lb which is incredible unlucky given the size of the fish in the lake.

Me er yeah i caught, but just the one of 16lb. So yup he whooped his old mans arse again. Thank god he cant go regularly, as his first love is martial arts, i dont think i can take a bashing like that every trip.

lol i know how you feel blanked more time thean caught so far this year. So my miss's said she would come along and so me where i was going wrong. I thought was joking bit i ste her up on a little match rod and reel i had knocking about and she ended up catching a 14 lb mirror thats bigger than anything ive caught all year. How gutted am i!!!!!! and trust me she has let me forget it either hahahaha
