Speed of our site

Right, due to recent problems we need to gather a little information, can you please vote on the poll to let us know whether overall you are happy with the speed that the site loads up on your computer, i.e when loading the front page or the forum.

If you have time can you also post in the thread to let us know what speed internet connection you have?? i.e. 512k 1meg 2meg etc etc. And if there are certain areas that work slower than others plese let us know.

We are then going to use this info to try and make some improvements to the overall speed of the site, this may involve a little downtime as we are considering switching to faster servers.

Re: Speed of our site

That was my thinking too, im on 8 meg and it takes around 20 seconds to load up so we're changing to a new server, should happen in the next week or so and you should notice a massive performance boost, plus it's a better server so we'll be able to make use of more things on the site that our current server just cant handle.

Re: Speed of our site

Hope so, we've just installed VBSEO which should help to improve the site's listing in a few search engines i.e. google so hopefully that'll help attract more visitors to the site too
