Hi All,
Checking Anglers Mail this week i noticed that The Cutons Lakes where a featured venue although the directions to find it where a little bit thin to say the least as Im sure if any of you have actually fished it will agree. I live about five minutes away and i had a nightmare the first time i went to have a look. So here goes easiest way !
From A12 either direction, exit at the A1114 turn off ( not the A414 ), head towards Gt Baddow and then signs for Chelmsford. Basically keep heading straight until you reach the Big Army and Navy roundabout ( flyover going over it ) turn right (4th exit) head straight, go over the Chelmer up to next roundabout, turn right 2nd exit , past retail park on your left, straight over next roundabout and head to next roundabout ( asda on left ) go over again and up to next roundabout. Turn right 3rd exit and then imidiately right into brook end road ( this cant be it i hear you cry, trust me ! ) now keep heading straight for quarter of a mile down the lane, you will come to a small cross roads (houses on right , industrial area and waterworks on the left) go straight on until you can see the small hump backed bridge (sandford mill lock) ahead. 20 yards before bridge on the left is a gate enter here and follow right to the end (the chelmer will be on your right)and into the fisherie.
Ps - I am not conencted to this venue in anyway ! Just know how frustrating it can be trying to find a place when you dont know the area !
