Back on the Rods - by Scott 2 Carpy.

Friday night was miserable weather but sitting around with the missus in front of tv i stummered out, i going catching 2mz. she said catching dnt u mean ur going to try catch fish, i replying no with the puds! and ST Baits, i going catching. and so it was.

1-2 August 2009 - Bishops Bowl lakes

After reading Jan Porter's article in Total Carp about his quest at bishop bowl, the ST Baits team felt a challenge was in order. The aim was to over haul the fish and total weight that Jan had achieved on a lake we also knew a little about. After a little research about his visit from the lake managers, the quest was underway.

Scott and Tom arrived at the lake at 5am on a wet saturday morning, after a bit of scouting and setting up the first fish was on the bank by 5.50am @ 13.08oz. Firsty of many we hoped.

Things went slow, but at 12 midday another screamer was off Tom landed a supurb looking 16.08oz liner, already beating Jan's biggest fish. By the end of the day a total of 10 fish had hit the bank, the 16.08oz being the biggest.

The evening and night went slow with just 2 low doubles hitting the bank by morning, where again things picked up. By 11am on Sunday it was time to pack up and a total of 15 fish totaling 168.08oz had hit the bank and our quest was complete, or challenge aquired. Gook Luck next time Mr Porter as the challenge is now with us.....

only one of guy caught on the lake and he had just 3 fish. AV IT!

Sounds like a cracking session to me Scotty. good angling mate.
I'm off to try a new water soon, all my local ones are rubbish, hopefully I'll be having similar results very soon!
