Linear Lumping (maybe not)

Ok so we arrive at Linear for 48 hours planning to fish St. Johns, managed to get throught te gate at 6.30am to find that the lake was full. and I mean full. Dam over to another lake, managed to find a nice looking peg whr a sandbar was visable in the clear water. marker out and bang 3/4 of a foot deep. But by this time it was getting to more like 10am and we most of the pegs on the complex had been taken so we marker about the 3 foot of weed to find a few clear spot, of which we managed to find a couple. 10:30am and the rods had beig placed in about 5 mins and ripp Toms margin rod sceams off, to be lost by weed. that day didnt se anymore runs. A trip up our bank showd that knowbody n our bank had even had a beep, and the odd fish had come from the far bank, a short drive round the lke and no free pegs o the other bank left us on our curret peg. Sunday mornign came and again at 9.30am tom lost and fish to weed, and i also lost a fish at 9.45am. no mor runs all sunday and on the last day 2 hours to go, my rod ripped off 140yards out over a big bed of spod mix. managed to land the fish this timem my first linear fish. in very difficult situations, was the only fish to come off our ank the whole 48 hours we were there.

Which lake did you end up on? We fished Brasenose 1 from 9am Sunday for 24 hours and only had 1 run. We spoke to a few others there and there wasn't much going on. Congrats on your catch though, lovely fish.

Re: Linear Lumping (maybe not)

There were 3 or us and we used 2 pegs on the far side of the lake 1 swim up from the left corner. If its any consolation we had a look around St Johns after we packed up and it was very quiet over there as well.

Yep that's the way it goes!! We spoke to the Nash guy as well, he had a couple of decent catches but had thrown in an unreal amount of ground bait though - he reckoned about £100 worth.
