Re: carping vehicles and cars

I want to buy a landrover defender next year. But reallistically i will probably just get a escort/astra van. Landrovers cost alot for fuel road tax etc. So will have to be cheap van (missus has the proper car for ferrying kids about) Think you will struggle getting carp gear in a saxo. Imagine all that mud on your alloys nightmare!

Very nice motor Gemo but for me the fuel consumption would be an issue.
Big lottery win would be handy, then fuel would not be an issue, but there
is no chance of winning that big one, apart from a few millions to one.

Anything except a ford fusion, hell i'd settle for a milk float if it proves to be more reliable, in the last 2 years bearing in mind its only done 40k ive had, ECU failed, fron suspension spring snapped, coil pack failed, and now i think the clutch or gearbox is knackered.

Re: carping vehicles and cars

Hi I have found its the Duel mass flywheel. IMHO I have not seen or heard of any ford gearbox issues.

PS a DMF and clutch and concentric thrust bearing assembly for a 2.0 TDCI Mondeo fitted at Ford £1200.00 Ouch.
