Hi all. Going to fish pond on friday for 48hours with mate. Spoke to owner and prices are 15 quid for 24hours he also does daily rates but you do have to book as he only allows a limited number on the lake. Fish are up to about 30lb but only had biggest of 23lb this year so far. Parking near to pegs unless on middle. Plenty of over hanging branches and reads in margin. Apparently margins are very good. will post how we get on. cheers A

Hi all, Arrived on friday afternoon to find just one person on lake who had not caught any carp, Once set up i fished into two inviting little cuts into the reeds and within 10 mins of casting my prefered popup boilie and pva bag in i had a screeming run which resulted in an 8lb mirror on the bank.
All in all my tally for a 44hr stint was 9 carp on the bank with a top weight of 12.5lb but most averaged around 8lb and faught like bigger fish, a reasonable session but no really big fish. The other 2 lads in our group had a total of 13 fish when i left but were fishing on for a while longer.
It turns out that the specamin lake are the old tench lake but is very hard and fish are up to 30lb. Will definately go back as was very enjoyable even if we didnt get a really big one. You never know maybe next time

Hi, i have just got back from fish pond farm, one of the best lakes iv fished, had 4 on the bank a 20lb a 22lb 2oz and 25lb 6oz as well as 6lb baby. my mate had a 24lb and a 6lb and 2 other friends had 17lb carp. bit weedy at the moment had two screaming runs but was snagged in weed. at the end of the lake there is a smaller island set away form the bigger island fish the opening between this very productive for me, and also about a metre and a half from the big island all the way around is a clear sandy bar try and fish on this. I used a home made boilie and small pva bag, john will tell you to use sweetcorn but i tried and failed with that. once iv uploaded pics on my computer i will post them on here.

Hi sounds like you had a good session. Shame john didnt tell us the bigger carp were in the other lake. However still had a good time albeit with smaller fish. One thing we did find was how well they fought and the good condition the carp were in. Going to have another 48 hour session in September in the correct lake thou so will see how we get on, will try those spots you suggested. Cheers Andrew
