need a venue near london

Hi guys im looking for somewhere to fish in or near nw london/herts/middx
im visiting some friends this weekend
and i and they have no ideas!!!
HELP
it would have to be a dayticket water, as no point in season or syndicate as its a one off
am close to a1/m25 junction
and also the m1
dont mind travelling a little
any ideas ?? reply or pm would be good

Willows lake St Albans is OK
Stanborough Lakes St Albans is also good
A bit further around is Mets lake also known as Thorney weir
Farlows is right next door they are both in Iver
Thorpe Lea fishery is a great runs water loads of carp 3500 most of them are upper doubles.

the mets is on the same complex as thorney weir but isn't day ticket, appox £250 per year, but you get thorney and the mets.

if fishing with a baseball bat in your bivvy and staying awake all night guarding your kit is your thing then you'll love farlows.
its a shame as the quality of fish are high as are all the other boyer waters in the surrounding area.
