Conveniently located near to the A127 and A13 (around 30 minutes from M25) Northlands park has a good head of carp with the larget coming in at present just under the 30lb mark and they are a little harder than those at Gloucester park, boilies seem to be the going bottom bait at present and they are quite partial to a doggy bisuit or two in the warmer weather. The lake has a maximum depth of around 5ft with most areas between 3-4ft depth. After checking Mick Toomer's website there are no bait bans as such for carp anglers however its worth noting that the use of freshwater livebaits/deadbaits is illegal (for pike anglers). The use of modern barbed hooks is permitted (barbless trebles only for pike anglers). Extension tickets may be purchased for night fishing.
