Hi all,i used to live up inNottingham where it was mainly river fishing but now i live in Chapel st Leonards in Lincolnshire and it's still waters for me now, I'm on the look out for a club water where i can get a year book instead of paying daily as this can work out expennsive. As to my fishing well where to start last season i had carp upto the fifteen pound mark but i would like to target the bigger fish in the lake this year as i know them to go into the upper twenties at least, i aim to move on to the mainline freezer baits and would welcome any advice as to rig set up and bait flavours to start with also last year i used pva sticks in my fishing and fond them to bring fish into the swim so this year plan again to use them but also to use a spod to put down a bed of bait first (am i on the right track with this?) well catch you all later and thanks.

Re: Hi from the east coast!
Thanks all!
ADH is the place i do most of my fishing, great lake and good suroundings also no daft bans unlike most waters that you go on. loyalty card is also a bonus. hoping this year to target the bigger fish there, whats the bigest that you have herd come out because i'm still not sure what they have in there, you hear so many stories and it would be nice to know that the fish that you are trying to target do reside there. |

Re: Hi from the east coast!
Hi Catfish
Sounds a good place to fish. PVA bags or sticks which have a mix in and some of your chopped bait work well, even better if you can thread them instead of just hokking them on (apologies if you already do that). Does the water see many pellets, if yes than try those in your bag. Another way you could try is stringers or even give fake baits a do.

Re: Hi from the east coast!
i've tried halibut pellet but havn't had a great deal of success with them, started using a dog treat that you cold get from wilkinsions which gave good results so i'm thinking mailine baits pulse or fusion as they are both meaty might be the wat to go? and then on the second rod maybe pinespple for a contrast, what do you think?. As for the catfish slime, we did night fishing in the dark anchored up in the middle of the ebro river float fishing to catch our cats and when they ripped line from your reel it was the best experiance of my life, the slime was little hardship to put up with infact hoping to have anouther week next year.
