I've just started as well, got alot of my gear second hand, am still collecting it, only got two rods, but have won a competition for Berkley B4 rods in a magazine, so don't know how many i'll get, we'll see when it or they arrive...good luck with the fishing, its a good up and coming site, lots of tips from like minded people so enjoy....zebs

Re: Lo everyone

I use bobbins, as i've got delkim alarms i've got a set of delkim indicators but had to get a set of solar hangers and take them apart as the delkim ones dont come with line clips or cord etc. Solar hangers are probably a good bet and you can ad extra weight to them, fox micro swingers are pretty damn good too na drelatively cheap at around £9 each

Re: Lo everyone

Simple is hardly used so many fake/man made baits out thr the fish no them now, some waters by me are so heavly fished with these so called fake baits, that using the good old worm or bread or corn works like wild fly..

Re: Lo everyone

Totally agree there were 4 anglers on the same lake turned up put there bivvys up chucked two rods out stuck em on the alarms chucked a few boilies in and led down there was no feeding up of the swim or change of tactics throughout the whole day now thats not fishing to me needless to say i had a few looks of disbelief that i was catching two foot from the bank with a FLOAT!! but i worked hard getting the fish into my swim and reaped the rewards. If i was fishing with me alarms etc i would at least try a few different tactics to try and get a run or 2 these chaps never i think i saw 2 fish between them all day but nvm more for me
